My brother worked at a sporting goods store for 10 years, he has got equipment out the wazoo

That sounds like fun, yote. People spend alot of money on deer hunting around here. We had our own property when I was a kid so it didn't cost us much. I can't see spending several thousand dollars on a couple of deer like the people around here do. My youngest brother is a die hard hunter. He works like a madman all year so that he can take the fall off to hunt. He just came back from a jetboat hunt in northern bc, the cost for being boated in and back out was $2600. Yes he is single People around here spend that much on their lease and expenses, I don't get it. I would much rather spend it in BC. That was just for the boat ride, he still had to have all his own gear and drive 20+ hours there and back. Where we deer hunt is about 3 hours away. We are lucky here in BC in that most of the land is public land You ARE lucky.

Yeah, gear is expensive. It helps when you have enough gear from a lifetime of hunting. I have a 300 H&H mag that's about 50 years old that I hunt with. It has a fold over scope so you can use the iron sights. I don't feel like I need anything else. A little overkill for whitetail. Classic cartridge,one of the all time greats

Seriously, I would think there would be alot of women up there that share the same inerests. I wish there were here, my wife don't. Still love her though.

Once I finish off paying my 2 daughters university bills, the ranch fund starts.
