very cool. where do you guys get your leather?

i have an old school bag with the rawhide base i'm thinkin of cutting off and wrapping around my fbm.

I have a leather source when I go to the Bristol Ren faire in the summer. I'll see if they have a website.

He sells all sorts of stuff. He has a nice tent and you can pick whole skins with fur on. Cattle, beaver, deer, bear, had a wolf, coyote and rabbit. Great leather too and tools. I have made some small crappy sheaths that have velcro on the back so that I can velcro the small knives under my steering wheel. These are not pretty sheaths and were only made to be hidden not worn or seen. So I could be as fast as I needed to make them as it was function over any type of finish.

Depending on where you live Tandy Leather usually has a pretty good selection.

i'll be sure to include that on my scrap yard tour, if i ever take one.
