I don't know if your remember my midnight phone call story or not, but if you do I guess you'll have to suffer throught it again.

When I got to Basic training they had us give them our parents name and phone number. They then called them and instructed us to tell them we got there safe and sound. Well the call was collect. My parents phone number and Our teacher friends number is different only by one number. My parents nuber is ###-##4# and hers is ###-##1#. Well the operator got the wrong number. When the teacher answered the phone at midnight and heard the operator if she would accept a collect call from ####### She said "No let him call his own mother"! We both get a kick out of remembering this. You see, BEFORE I started school we all lived in two VERY small houses just far enough apart to park two vehicles side by side with the doors open. After about 2 years they moved, then we moved. I went through school, 2 years of college and 20 years in the Air Force. When I retired I bought a house. RIGHT BEHIND HERS! Only difference how is she, Patty and I are big buds (oh and she says that she's actually glad she didn't kill me when I was a kid)!
