I was teaching today and had a question from a sophomore that made me think. The student asked why FDR started SSI if it was flawed in the 1930's. Good point young grasshopper. There are many reasons, but one that FDR did not see was a major world war and a gigantic baby-boom after wards. Any other ideas?

The wife and I ate dinner tonight with my b-i-l tonight. Food was good but catching up with the b-i-l was great. When my b-i-l was a young child he spent a lot of time with me and my wife and now that he is grown and has a family it is good to see that I did have some good things passed on to him. Depending on what the new release is he might end up with one for Christmas.

Ok, lets talk red dot optic sighting systems. I have had the Eotech, the Aimpoint m2/M3/M4. I had a small Trijicon on top of an ACOG before my dominant eye took a dump. Now I really liked the Eotech but it is out due to the busy reticule. What other Red Dots do you guys have experience with? If I get a Red Dot it will go on top of my new toy.
