There is a special place for people who hurt children-- truly believe that or I could not be in my job without doing bodily harm to a perp. I have seen too many cases of abuse. I don't want to really get into it but it is bad. I had it out once with a guy who though beating his son was ok, needless to say the officer who checked what happened out made sure to specify I was defending myself.

I personally think the step-mother should be held over a woodchipper and lowered in til she tells what happened to the little girl. This whole thing has made me sick just thinking about what happened to that poor little girl.

I can not believe what I just read. The family members suspected a problem and did nothing, much less notify proper authorities? Screw them, that is all I can say on this forum.

This is a worst-case scenario of the system failing a child, in my opinion. DSS was called several times, but never did anything about the step-mother.

DSS or no, if I had a niece/nephew/cousin/sibling/etc. going through that I would take them out of the situation. No if, and, or but.
