Ok just to make sure my lacking mental abilities understand. They ARE NOT barrel inserts that are the length of the barrel like skeet and trap barrel LINERS would maybe a better word.

ive actually seen both the barrel inserts and the ammo adapters. I like the barrel insert idea but the idea of the adapter is nice because you could chamber them like actual shells.

After reading your post above mine I finally figured out they are shotgun shell length.

Yeah the adapters are a nice idea if you can get good enough accuracy. The Barrel inserts (full barrel length plus some) are really neat but I have only seen them for skeet and trap guns. I shot a lot of skeet while I was stationed in Omaha and there were several guys that had the mega thousand dollar over/unders with .410, 28, 20, 16 gauge for their 12 gauge shotguns. Talk about some bucks!

I'm thinking cheap that can do cheaper. I always wanted a shotty with rifle sites and figure to have a couple extra barrels and/or adapters means I can shoot anything out of it. kind of the ultimate plinker. if the accuracy is fair I'd be okay with that.

I was really thinking .22lr barrel insert just to shoot crap loads of .22. I guess it could be left in a double barrel shotgun to make it a combo firearm.
