I don't know if it was alive at one time or not, but I HAVE seen them that big while SCUBA diving in Hawaii.

Yeah, I saw some pretty big ones in the Persian Gulf as a child. They weren't scared of me at all. The manta rays were though.

Never seen a Manta ray but saw several regular gray colored rays.

Oh man, this is starting to get deep now. The fire I was talking about, Well we have the city it's in fire dept there, plus 3 other city fire departments! It is in an old section of town, wooden buildings, that are all built against each other. This COULD, and probably will be a major incident for this town of 2000 people.

At this time it's 45 degrees out and the humidity is setting at 90 percent. Maybe this will help the firefighters as the heat and humitity are not oppressive right now away from the fire.
