I know this will sound callous but it's true. Last week we had a man hang himself out in the county. When they(3 deputies, investigator, sheriff and coroner) no one had a knife that was sharp enough to cut him down. This one deputy said he had one that should do it, that I had just sharpened it about w3 weeks ago for him. It worked.
I just can't understand why they don't carry knives in THEIR jobs.

I need to get a sheath for my Dumpster Mutt. That would be a good EDC blade too, especially if you pair it with a thin blade for fine work (or peeling apples)

Todd, Yup, I'm NEVER without a knife. Now my two edc's are Uncle UM and Little Sebbie. I like those folders. Little sebbie is the perfect size.

I think that most deputies in our area carry some form of knife.

My sargeant now is the one that actually got me into collecting fixed blade knives. He has a pretty nice collection, but has started selling it off to buy other stuff. Now don't get me wrong, you can buy some good blades for that. But I said 20 bucks is TO MUCH. Most go for the cheapie 5-10 dollar blades and then complain that they won't stay sharp! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/banghead.gif" alt="" />
