I was a little concerned with the High RC as well. Not because of any Brittleness concerns but because of my ability to maintain it's sharpness. I would rather give up an amount of hardness for just a tad easier sharpening ability.

The brittleness worries me, as I tend to use mine pretty hard. I don't want to snap one because I was over-using it. I carry an Izula right now, and it's almost always on me somewhere. I can see the Scrapivore replacing it once I get a sheath for it, and I know what the Izula has been through. Frankly, I'm suprised it's not broken yet.

If the Vore wasn't one of Dan's I would be concerned, but with the testing they put their blades through I would say they got the brittleness factor under control. Otherwise they couldn't put their warranty on this blade seeings how it is made to pry things with. I mean everyone knows that a pallet couldn't be pryed apart with one, but how much pressure would it take to open up a paint encrusted can?

I'm thinking of ordering a Rainwalker for my SOD, with a piggyback for the Scrapivore. I really really like his rattlesnake inlay sheaths

True enough, and maybe I'm overthinking things. I've done that a time or two LOL

But even so, I don't know that I'll order both. One will probably be enough, what with Christmas coming up and buying stuff for the family. Plus there are other blades out there too...

You know for the price Dan sorta quoted you could order TWO CG's and only spend 15-20 bucks more than ONE LE.

I know, plus I have a $25 shop credit waiting on me. At least, I guess I still have it.

But then again, I could get an LE for less than the CG too....decisions, decisions.

Wonder if my wife would notice two charges to the Yard fairly close together? Hmmmmmmm
