its a fat knife, not easy... wet phonebook?
I hope you are at least using a paracord loop to keep your hand from sliding over the blade...

Well, the thickness is almost same between Dog Father and Scrapper 6. The width too is almost same. The only big difference is the length. The phonebook wasn't wet, I took it when I went to the Safeway (grocery store), it has a distributor with many phonebook on the front door.
As for the paracord loop, no, but thanks for the idea, I didn't realized this thing, it must be painful. I'll manage to find one.

I just got my Mutt monday and it is already my favorite scrapper by far. I bet you could hammer it into a cement wall and then use it as a step? That basic handle is sweet. Between my DF SS4 ,M6 and Mutt I have all the Busse handle materials and the Mutts basic handle is amazing. The size is perfect for my small hands and the grip is right under my index finger. The Mutt is even better looking than all the previous knives although the recurves sure look good as well.

I picked up a DM for a buddy and I'm checking in with him today to see if he wants to get a sheath from Leatherface and he says he does. I jokingly ask him if he's managed to break the knife yet, because I know he has a very unlucky history with hi end knives. He is kinda quiet for a minute and says, "Well, it's great but I bent the tip."
I'm stunned and I ask him, "WTF did you do?"
His response is, "I was testing the penetrator tip by stabbing a phonebook and it went all the way through and into the cement floor of my garage. It took a chunk out of the floor and the tip bent a little. I was able to fix it by sharpening it though."
He has the worst luck with knives, but I thought the DM would be invulnerable. I guess it was wishful thinking. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> I cant even imagine how much force he must have used to go through a phone book and into the cement. Dan

This is a bent tip. There is no way in Hell that you could bend a tip after all the force has been expended going thru a telephone book!!!!! ![[Linked Image from i67.photobucket.com]](http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h308/dla26232/P1000584.jpg)

Yeah, I'd say that definitely has a curvature to it.

I'd like to see this phone book, I know I probably couldn't get through 1/3 of the Metro Detroit East phone book, and I swing a hammer for a living. Now my local Sterling Hgts., well that shouldn't be a problem.

I don't need or want to know the make of that knife unless its one of the Busse family of knives? That type of bend typically cames from heavy prying...at least in my expierence Dan

Deffinately looks like heavy prying to the point where the tip no longer returned to true but didn't snap either. I can imagine a bent like that as a result of stabbing concrete only if the steel is dead soft. This isn't the case.
