I had a landlord one time try to make me pay to fix the drive when it washed in heavy storms. He actually tried to evict me when I refused. The magistrate laughed in his face and told him he needed to study landlord-tenant law.

I'll say one thing. That was the first time I EVER got my deposit back, but only because I had everything in writing and photos. Made a written notice I was moving out 30 days before hand and everything.

Plus I promised him that I would take him to court if I didn't get it back, and I was pissed enough at him that he knew I meant it.

When I was in Japan we had a lot of problems with power outages or "brown outs". So I bought a battery alarm clock, It would talk the time to you if you pressed the button and the alarm was a Rooster crowing!

Haha, I almost did Todd. fortunately my hand jerked on the mouse. Anyway I have been using a battery talking crowing alarm clock since 1987.

AND I still have two more left not counting this one.

Mostly its been over the stupid people who live in the same house who can't figure out how to lock the front door.
