I'm very careful about what I put on mine, and what I allow to be put on mine. Also I don't let just anyone see my page, they must be a friend to see it.

But I love the fact that I've re-connected with lots of friends from high school and college that I wouldn't have been able to otherwise.

My high school girlfriend looked me up a while back, and we got together at our class reunion. Now my wife and her are getting to be good friends, and her husband and I are fairly friendly as well.

Never would have happened without Facebook.

Well boys, it's after 10pm here and I am going to call it quits for the night and go be with Patty. I've got to finally start back to work tomorrow night, 2 nights then go on break again. Man it's gonna be tough to go back to work after being off all this time.

Miserable night at work last night. They made such a big deal about getting snow in the Houston area, then no snow. Just freezing drizzle all night. Got some nice wind burn on my face. I would've preferred snow or sleet, not so lucky. The low temps caused the industrial water, domestic water, and even STEAM lines to freeze in the refinery! Many of the lines burst. All of the pipes are above ground in pipe racks over head. Many sanitary water lines burst as well. Got to use a port-a-john in 24 degree temps last night. Some of the chemicals that we have freeze at 55 degrees, we circulate them but it got cold enough to freeze those pipes solid. Lots of chemical spills and iced over grating that is nearly impossible to walk on. I work at the docks in a refinery on the Houston Ship Channel and it's almost all grating out there. Did alot of crawling around on my hands and knees to keep from falling. We're busy enough with our regular work load, so all of this clean up and damage control just adds to it. Cold weather doesn't bother me, but it's a nightmare at work.

It's funny how it takes 20 inches of snow to shut down Chicago and only one inch will shut down the gulf coast. Many businesses are only requiring nonessential personnel to report to work and most schools are closed!

Got a glass of Jack Daniel's trying to thaw out, then I'm off to bed. Y'all try and keep warm.

WOW! Sounds like a really rough night Adam. Sounds like maybe overtime as well if you have anything to do with that department. I hope none of the chemicals are really dangerous to you, but they probably are so breath shallowly! Seriously, I hope everyone there is and remains safe.

Besides that, how is life treating you?

Well according to mr USPS it should be here today! If not tomorrow. Items usually say they leave st. louis and have arrived for delivery when they actually have arrived at the regional center and then get to our place the next day.
