Been a fairly busy night here, but that's not really bad. Makes the night fly by.

I'm curious; what kind of calls do you get on a typical Saturday night?

Mostly stupid stuff, lots of drunks fighting, loud music complaints, etc. Every now and then get something wild, like a shooting or a stabbing, but those don't happen very often.

Sundays are bad, lots of custody issues where one parent doesn't want to give a kid back after the weekend. I'd rather take fight calls than those

Good that the shootings and stabbings are few and far between! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif" alt="" /> In our little town of 259 theft is the most common crime I believe, with the occasional domestic dispute, cows in the road, loud dog barking, etc. The Joint County Task Force has put a major hurt on the meth makers around here, thank goodness! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

Day shift gets most of the B&E reports, usually happen while people are at work. We get a lot of domestics all the time, no particular night. We have a task force here that is pretty good, they've gotten two meth labs in the past month.

I live four miles from town, with a neighbor one mile East, West, North, and South. Everyone has at least a deer rifle and a shotgun, so a thief could find himself in real trouble pretty quickly. I live out in the country too, my brother is about 75 yards in front of me and the next nearest is several hundred yards. Behind me I've got 1,000 acres of gamelands, so nobody close there. That's my little getaway spot.

He'll be along in a few, I imagine. Sometimes it's 0100 your time before he gets in here.
