I don't try to fool myself. If it came to it, life would be really tough, and I don't know how long I could hold out. But I'd sure give it a try.
I worry about my family more than me, cause they don't have a clue about what it would take to survive. And my wife doesn't listen to me because she says I'm just paranoid.

Honestly Tom, I think she'd give up if it came to SHTF scenario. I KNOW I could live in the hills for a pretty good while, but she's soft. Couldn't do it and probably wouldn't try.

Jeff. The Ball mason jar folks put out an 8 1/2 by ll booklet on canning that is pretty good. At least it will get you started. Patty and I have one and it lists quite a bit of stuff.

You never REALLY know how a person will act until they are actually IN that situation. But the more prepping/training you can do will increase your chances quite a bit. I have to take a break and "commune with Mother Nature", but I'll be back! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
