Yikes! Spring is in the air here. Folks getting their motorcyles ready for Bike Week in Daytona.

Wish I was getting on ready! I passed a bunch of Harley's today on the road...sigh.

Haven't been on a bike in years, but spring always makes me want to ride.

Last month I was on the interstate hiwy and there was this guy on a bike headed north. It was 29 degrees and here he was riding a bike going 70 MPH! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/doh.gif" alt="" />

Never was one for riding in the wintertime. MAYBE on a warm day, but then just down the road and back.

When I was a young soldier, I would ride in snow even. Ice on my mustache, frozen boots. Rode a dirt bike 35 miles in snow to get beer in 1977. Not anymore. I'm a fair weather hog rider nowadays.

Well, the Superbowl is over. Green Bay wins 31-25. Pittsburg outplayed the Packers for most of the game, but Green Bay got off to a good start and carried it through.

I rode a couple times in the 40's, but I just didn't see a need to ride if it was colder than that. That's what trucks are made for. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

I think I rode my Kawasaki dirt bike a few times when it was about 45. That was enough for me. Course this was back about 1970 too, I was a lot more foolish then!

Well I guess Sumo is gonna get his new blade!

I rode four wheelers in cold weather, but not as fast as street bikes, and usually wearing pretty heavy clothes too. But that was just to go hunting...not really pleasure riding.

Oh yeah, I've been on 4 wheelers in the snow before, and like you said, Fast walking speed was about all we were doing.
