We had a nice sunny day today with a high of 73. I had a cookout, and went on a walk around the yard with my camera to take some pics for you guys. Hope ya like ‘em. Oh, I also filmed a couple videos, one batoning with the DM and one chopping with the DM. It will take me a while to convert and edit them, so I’ll add them to this thread in a couple days after I host them on youtube.

First I decided to get the fire going so it could be burning down to coals while I was walking around the yard taking pics. I used my DM to split the fatwood into smaller pieces. I used my flint rod to ignite the fire on the first try. I added some handfulls of tinder, and quickly built up the fire.

Here’s the DM and SS4 with one of the flowers I planted in the front yard a few months ago.

Here’s a view of the flower looking up, from underneath.

And the flower with the DM.

And a closeup.

And here’s me with my DM and SS4.

Here’s my DM with my new LeatherFace kydex pouch sheath.

And here it is from a different view.

DM and SS4 with the cobalt blue bottle I found in the yard after a flood.

Here’s a small branch that I cut in one whack with the DM.

DM and SS4 on a rock. The rock was sparkling in the sunlight, and I hoped to capture the sparkle, but it didn’t work.

As always, I loved your beautiful pictures, Andy. On that peaceful note, I am getting ready for some sleep.

Great pics Andy! Looks like you had a great time. The brats and burgers are making me hungry though

The blue bottle looks like a Phillips Milk of Magnesia bottle which may be appropriate after eating all those brats

God Bless!!! Andy that was wonderful as usual!! No, even better that that!
I love the cookout! Makes me want to burn some meat outdoors this weekend too!
And man..it does my heart good to see that SS-4 in perfect condition.
It's for lookin at! You got a world of knives and even a axe to beat the daylights out of everything in your yard. But that SS-4....yeah,that's for lookin at.

Way to go Andy!

Peace.

P.S. Lew I agree with youtoo! Looks Like a Phillips Milk of Magnesia bottle...YUCH!
