Things are OK, found out I may get a little something back on taxes. Blade may not be out of the question!

COOL! We already got ours back and some of it has gone for toys, like my 511 bag and the GSI Dukjug SS waterbottles and the GSI 18oz SS nesting cups I just got along with some med items for it. Hows the Generals back after the visitors?
Oh and my two cupidvore sheaths!

The General is doing pretty good, and we are both getting caught up with a little well-deserved rest. We will start some seeds tomorrow, and I plan on working with my new pack. I want to have individual pouches designated for first-aid, fire, water, and snacks.

Yeah, I have all my first aid items in the 511 bag in the top flap pouch and the outside flap pouch. On the outside loops on one side I have a 1aa led light, and on the other side a whistle, small folder and smiths sharpening steel (looks like a pen). Inside SO FAR I have a 8x21 monocular and leatherman pad of post its and a pen and my RAT mod 1 folder (the original model). I will have a fixed blade on my belt of course.

Better start your seeds INSIDE! This crazy weather might do anything!

We have some south-side windows where the seeds will be sitting; it worked great last year! With this goofy weather, they will stay inside until around May 10th!

Haha, I think we are going to try and put some tomatoes out again this year and hopefully they won't get cooked on the vine like last year!

I need to build some planter boxes so we can do a small raised garden this year.

If it gets too hot and sunny, I will pound a few steel stakes in the ground and provide some shade via tarps. A lot of our plants will be grown in large pots or raised beds.

The soil where our house is is very very sandy. It can rain a flood and in just a matter of a couple three hours it's all gone. The REAL dirt is probably 2-3 feet down.

I will be tilling up the ground, then mixing in composted cow manure. ANYTHING will grow in that mixture! A little sand would help with drainage.

A little sand maybe, but not THIS MUCH! We used about 80 pounds of potting soil and it didn't help a great whole lot.

Depending on your garden size, 80 pounds isn't very much.
