Er...ummm...are they available at my local WalMart? No, but even better, you can get them on eBay or BF and you never even have to leave your chair!

The Manix is a great knife it's built like a bank vault. Yes, we have quite a large Manix thread going at the Swamp: Folders...If you have to have one.

That's a pretty neat scales-free shot of the Manix locking mechanism Bors. I like the blade shape on the Manix. I'm going to have to hold one to see for myself the claimed tank-like goodness of the knofe.

If you like BM, I'll second the Ritter Grip, I think the large is a great value even if it's not as nice as some other BMs.
I would go for the Seb without hesitation if you're even slightly inclined...it will save a lot of cash if you buy one to begin with instead of working your way up. I can't imagine myself damaging my sebenza, but if you want heavy heavy duty, Strider is probably the best option for indestructibility, though I don't own any.
The Cabela's 110 looks pretty good, I was thinking of getting one myself. rooikat, do you have a regular 110 to compare it to?

True, Andy. But they're way too rich for my blood. The last one at BF sold for $235.00. Yeah, me too. I even thought the original price was too expensive…for me anyway.

Thanks for all the info and suggestions. I think I may just have to make a trip down to Cabelas and get my hands on some knives. They all look good on the monitor, but I think I should go fondle some. Knives that is, of course.

I have a hard time telling whether I will like a knife until I hold it. Then it's obvious

The Manix is a great choice if you wear a glove size of Large-XXL... However, if you have smallish hands, it may be a bit much for you... NOT the knife for most petite ladies!...
I don't personally own one (YET!), but I have used one before and WOW they are nice!!!
