I think the real battle will be for who is going to make that 500,000th post indeed. 49,980 to 50,000 should happen in less than 10 seconds The night we broke 400k was quite a night. Coldone is the one that hit 400k, if I remember right.

Here's something interesting. My M-I-L brought a box of books to Patty this afternoon that had all her old yearbooks in them (the did not take care of the books, they have been in a shed year round since about 1980 and are in BAD shape, molded and yellowed and just generally not in good shape.
Anyway, among them was a book called "The complete Outdoors Encyclopedia". An Outdoor life book written by vin T. Sparano and published by Harper & Row in 1972!
Sucker is 8 1/2 by 11 and is over 600 pages long! Here are the sections.
1. Hunting and shooting
2. Game animals and birds
3. Fishing
4. Game Fish
5. Camping
6. Boating
7. Archery
8. Hunting Dogs
9. First Aid
10. Outdoor Information guide
I'm gonna have to go through thing, appears as if it might be interesting. I mean it tells you how to roll your own ammo and clean and preserve fish and game and all sorts of survival orientated stuff.

Dad belonged to the Outdoor Life book of the month club, he's got all kinds of those books on a bookshelf in my old bedroom.
