Can't say I like my job, just not my style. I need to find something I enjoy but I just don't know what that would be. I've had thoughts from everything from a metallurgist to military but for whatever reason can't seem to make up ky mind.

Makes you wonder what people like this do all day long.

I've done a little bit of everything in my life.
In no particular order, I've been:
CNA
EMT
Farm hand on a turkey farm
pizza delivery driver and pizza cook
burger joint grill cook
CNC machinist
forklift driver
welder
chain assembler
freelance sports photographer
newspaper reporter
hotel front desk manager
and last but not least what I do now, dispatcher.

And that's just what I can think of off the top of my head.

Forgot all my time in the furniture business.
Finish sprayer
silk screen printer
white wood repair
shipping clerk
finish room prep

Sounds a bit like me, I've had lots of jobs and a few I've really enjoyed but those usually didn't pay well. Recently I've really been leaning towards LE or mil but I need to get my a$$ in gear before I get too old.

Well my job experience isn't quite that extensive.

In HS I worked at a gas station for a couple years.

In College I did custom offset and letterhead printing for the local paper then got a 35mm camera and started taking pics and making halftone prints and helping layout the paper.

Flunked out of college, joined the Air Force, and 20 years later started as a dispatcher for the Sheriffs dept and and while doing that did a 3 year stint as a reserve police office in my home town. I'm still a dispatcher.

You've still got plenty of time for LE. My old Lt didn't start till he was 45, and he retired from here.

As far as my adult life goes, I guess I have only had two jobs, the Air Force and Dispatching.

I was 43 when I went through the Police Academy, course that was WAY back in 1997!

I've went through several plant closings, downsizings and other assorted layoffs. I would have retired from my job as a machinist, but the company moved to Mexico. That was a great job too. When I was RIF'd, I was making $16.94/hour with all the overtime I wanted to work. $1k weeks weren't unusual. Those were the good old days....
