These grips just in from Yost-Bonitz - I ordered them Monday AFTERNOON, and they got here on Wednesday (Arizona to Montana) - they even had to do a cutout on the backside of the right grip for my ambi-safety. They fit like a glove too, and they're beautiful! Green Micarta, Diamond Cut. I've got a front tritium sight and magazine bumpers on the way, and then this thing is combat ready! Its got a Wilson Combat threaded guide rod, 18lb spring, shock buff, skeleton hammer, graphite trigger, ambidextrious safety, and badazz grips. This pistol has been in my family since I was a kid, and my dad passed it on to me to carry as a duty pistol - helluva gift huh! I got him that damascus custom blade w/ the mastadon ivory handle on it(that I posted pix of a few weeks back) to try and return the favor a little!

Nooooooo. No more blue G-10! And blue ain't "tactical" <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

I really think the green micarata looks great Dice. It really sets off the stainless nicely.

Still waiting on the knives btw.

Great looking weapon! Makes a Glock look rather utilitarian..

I don't know how happy they'd be w/ a bright blue gun sticking out of my holster! Maybe I could carry the CGFBM hanging off of my belt as well!

Thanks for the comments guys! I think that the grips were just under $70, but VZ grips has similar grips for $55. 1911's are probably even more addictive than knives... just because of all the upgrades you can do!! Help!!!

I'm sure they'll get there soon - I hope the shirts go up for sale soon here too!

I really like the green a lot - it does go very well w/ the stainless huh!?

Nice grips! I really need to get some grips for my 1911. It has had a lot done to it and been reparked but I still have stock Springfield grips.

Nice grips, Diceman. Never thought of micarta for pistol grips, but it makes sense.

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.
