Ah, ok. Is that all of Central Europe or just U.S. Military bases?

Not sure about all of Europe. But I am sure about Germany. It is not U.S. bases. That would be really odd to drive off base and suddenly be in a different time zone.

I'm not sure why I keep watching the Bussekin sales forum on BladeForums, it's not like I'm going to buy something there... At this rate I'm going to see a NARK go for $200 and miss out on it...

The same reason women window shop. It is OK to browse as long as you don't put yourself in debt.

I'm not worried about going into debt so much as not having money to spend on other hobbies. This whole knives addiction thing is really irritating sometimes.

I understand your pain. I am like that with gear in general. I am not addicted to any one thing like knives. I only have a few Bussekin. I do have a specific knife for each occasion though, like scuba, hiking, combat etc etc.

But, I also collect gear for those specific hobbies of mine too.

I have an urban pack filled with urban type goodies for my EDC, a hiking/camping pack filled with its own specific stuff, scuba pack etc etc. I have five packs in all.

I'm the same way, I really like knives, particularly the mechanics and production. However, I have to have the toughest gear and be prepared for anything that comes my way. I'm just a cheapskate, that's all <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/doh.gif" alt="" />

Too bad the Busses don't make a scuba knife.

True to that.

I'd really like to learn how to SCUBA, my dad was into it back in the 80's and still has a bunch of tanks lying around. Time for a re-hydro...

And just to prove my point about gear, this is my school backpack: http://www.tyrtactical.com/products/details/backpacks/5-Day-Lightweight-Assault-BackPack-/

Mine is the first version (literally got it about a week after it came out) doesn't have the side pocket, but instead has molle going down the side and on the bottom.

Speaking of MOLLE, where did you get the MOLLE glasses case you talked about a couple hundred pages back?

Holy crap. You wear that to school?

I got it at a local store on base. Let me check to see if they have an online front.

Yeah, I love the thing, it's ridiculously lightweight and very comfortable, I had 50 pounds in it at one point and didn't have any problems, I think that with a hip belt (get one from Tyr Tactical [$90] or DBT[$40]) it would be even better. The only thing that isn't ridiculously overbuilt are the shoulder straps, but even then, they don't look like they're going to fail anytime soon. Just to give you an idea how big it is, my textbooks and binders like to rotate flat on the bottom. I got the package right before my next period so I didn't have time to transfer everything, just dropped my old pack inside and zipped it up.

Here you go.

http://www.recon-company.com/lightspeed.php/en_recon/oakley-case-field-gear-fur-thump.html

I have seen other MOLLE glasses cases more suited for the field. This one doesn't seal shut like some. So, it won't really keep your glasses clean in the really dirty environments, but I only use it on my EDC/urban pack.
