there's nothing wrong with admitting that. no one needs a corvette either, i sure as hell still want one. oh yeah, i want one with sr-77 bumpers and i wanna hang my battle mistress from the rear view mirror. i want it with a hood ornament cut from a single, solid, giant emerald. and i want tires with spikes that come out of the rubber so i can drive vertically. might as well throw in all wheel drive. grappling hook. .30 cal belt fed machine guns that pop out from under the ground effects. it should float too. maybe dive. maybe a jump boost. flight? flux capacitor? run on garbage? can't forget the grayscale american flag paint job.

I think it is human nature to want the very best we can afford i'll agree. i just don't think bein able to afford it has anything to do with wanting it. look at all the debt relief commercials all over the newspapers, magazines, and television.

Yeah. Some people want things they cannot afford. Well that seems better than being able to afford things you don't want.

DOH: where do you come up with this stuff? I'm curious too, Unsub. I've never read anything about Fallkniven using INFI. But perhaps they referred to it by some other name. Do you have a link you could share with us? A few of us tried to get it out of him on the Swamp Rat forum where he made the same claim. Seems the same here, he simply vanishes when it comes time to show proof.

Am I going to notice the difference in a piece of INFI or am I going to throw my money down a whole and think I'm still using my SR-77? One of the good things about these knives that appreciate in value is you can try one, and if you don't like it for some reason, you can resell it for what you paid, and sometimes a little more.

I believe that is the magical formula...good research skills
Dan Thanks, Dan. I hardly need to tell you that knowing the formula and knowing how to heat treat the steel properly are two different things, however. You are so correct about that. It is truely where science and art merge Dan

I have a theory that INFI is a steel that is used in other industries and that Jerry bought the rights to be the sole knifemaker to use it. Fallkniven expiremented with it a while before Busse started to use it but they say they did not find it satisfactory. where do you come up with this stuff? For what it is worth, I watched Jerry developed INFI. You cannot imagine the hours and endless frustrations he went through until he finally develop INFI. So I know for a fact that he is the creater, developer and king hog of INFI. From that expierence, I recognized his pure brilliance. Don't ever tell him I said this...none of us will be able to live with him. Dan
