Jared, you have or had both a B11 and a DFCG didn't you? Did you think the weight difference noticeable when you carried it?

I only had a dfcg for a few minutes ( until Alex ( private snowballz) came over and picked it up after blade). I didn't notice that much difference. I'm not one for belt carrying a big knife like that though, it's uncomfortable to me, but I didn't notice that much difference in the feel of the two that I can remember

I think I just prefer slimmer/ flatter handles, like the Muk, I love the handle on that knife, for as aggressive as the micarta is cut, it feels super comfortable

One thing I will say about the b11, I never cared for the smaller handle ( those basic handles) just never felt secure in my hand, the dog father handles are much better , on a chopper I do prefer a larger handle, I would love to see a reg handle on a chopper in the future

I'm like you, I think that a Reg handle without the top guard on a blade like the DF OR LARGER would be fantastic! AND if it had a slight downward angle that would make it even better!

Several folks have commented on the B11 handles being smaller and putting something over them to make them more hand filling.

That would be the chopper to rule them all

If the regs hadn't been so thick, I would have modded a dog father to fit one of the handles, but there is just to much space inside to make up

Yeah but I think .250 would be the MAX thickness it would need to be. With the Busse Boys heat treat being more bomb proof by thickness I don't think is really all that necessary at least on something that large.

Yeah, anything 10 or longer, if it's thicker that .25, would be tiring to swing

I'm sure there would be some way to do it using a rubber compound of some kind but yeah, I agree it would take a lot of filler.
