That Benjamin lazi talked about looks nice. But I am confused about the power system. Is it gas operated (as like a c02 cylinder) or spring piston?

called a nitro piston... don't know exactly what it is but it's a replacement for the old spring systems. supposed to be quieter and smoother. my old one is a springer and the spring is abountje worst thing about it. kicks and makes a fair amour of noise.

yup, that's the same one I think I'm going with. read some forums and reviews and whatnot and it seems to be a good rifle and fairly quiet for what it's putting out.

22 at 1,000 fps is smoking. The 177 is 1500 fps. You have good taste in air guns.

Personally I think I would take the .22. Heavier pellets = less prone to be thrown around by the wind.

I think you are correct skunk. I want the 22. But I was really surprised at the speed on the .177

they make em .22 and .25... think the .25 drops to 725.

im forgetting exactly but the food pounds seems be about the same. maybe a little better for .25.

Cabelas is never cheap. I haven't started to look seriously enough to buy just yet.

I remember that they at least used to put out a .25 but I think I would rather stick with the more popular .22.

and theres forums and the whole nine. info about tweaking them and guys doing jobs and mods. sucks that none of this info even crossed my mind when I had some extra funds.
