Todd...super jealous of your fishing adventure, sounds like you had a fantastic hour. Hell...just being outside fishing would be enough for me. But, in Austin, we hit our 26th day over 100 so far this summer yesterday, yeehaw! Randy...things are well. Work and Life, I've been trying to clear the clutter and focus on the important things like family. It's an odd thing really about Texas not allowing Bowie style blades....coincidence that I don't like them anyhow, so it works well for me <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

I must say though...I really get irked by all of the moronic laws around things like Bowie knives, Semi-Auto rifles, etc. Annoying, and a waste of taxpayer dollars to even enforce such crap. I think my dad nearly flipped when I bought an AR while the ban was still in place. The laws hardly stopped anything...just slightly changed the configuration of what could be had. And mags...well, all of the ones made before the ban were still readily available. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

Yup, I agree 100 percent. SOME things are not going to change, and for something as commonplace, so ordinary as a knife or a gun of some sort that can be shot without manually activating the action or loading one round at a time to be "Restricted" is just stupidity, and yes a LARGE waste of money to me.

GREAT! Just got a TTY from the NWS saying that early next week (Monday and Tuesday) will have heat indexes of 105 to possibly over 110 degrees! Advising extreme caution for anyone that needs to be outside those two days. The temps should be in the mid 90's and the humidity takes care of the rest.
