Ooooo…nice BA. I really like that snakeskin. I was kinda thinking of getting one for a while, but I don’t have enough income for everything I’d like. First I started playing with the options, and figured out there was no way I could have all the extras. Then I thought maybe I could afford a cheaper standard model, but I can’t afford it and the DFLE, and I want it more.

I thought the BA looked like a good EDC utility/defensive blade. I didn’t realize it was quite that large. It helps having other knives in the pic to compare it to.

I'm considering canceling my Badger order. It just doesn't seem to really say "BUY ME!" I should probably decide in the next day or so or it'll ship. Decisions, decisions.

Andy, if you try and start saving now, remember that the BCS should have some in the coming months and they don't mark up! The other place to check is Alaska Gun. At least it will give you some time to squirrel money away!

Aye, it's hard to tell from pics & specs alone!
I thought Dumpster Mutt was gonna be much bigger!
And knives like BATAC and Camp Tramp have such wide blades.. it throws the scale off when you look at it alone. Side-by-side pics like above ^ *really* help!

> Kraz,
Thanks for posting pics and descriptions!
The HRLM's handle really grew on me, so it *seems* like i would enjoy BATAC also, but again it's hard to judge from pics alone!
You said..
"To my hand the HRLM slabs feel more comfortable because the handle is shaped differently from the TAC handle."

Is it because HRLM's scales are flatter/thinner? Does BATAC have really "puffed out" swells?

oh man i wish i had Mine already!! i can't wait!! Woof WOOF!

Tony,
The BATAC handle is a little wider and has a palm swell (a bump if you will ) so it feels bigger than the HRLM handle. They do not feel the same to my hands. The scales on the HRLM seem similar in width to the BATAC scales.

My problem now is the number of knives I've managed to snag has greatly exceeded my time to use them

Looks like I will be moving to the Bay Area here shortly so don't know how quickly I can get the pics up but I'll try to fit it in
