Todd, one was while I was in the Service and the other was here, before Missouri allowed CCW for private citizens. The dogs were all here while trying to walk/exercise. I had a stick as well but one dog got by it.

Some guy on Ebay is selling one what he cut the ring off of! It WOULD CCW VERY well, but I one of the things, for me, is the ring. It will help you control the blade and not so easy to loose when your finger is in it.

Different manufacturers have been selling them as carpet knives and gardening blades for YEARS. The make a great pruning blade. Use a pull cut and the material does not slide off the blade.

Well when I was young and of very low IQ I used to carry a straight razor in a pouch hidden by my long hair.
I remember one time I was helping my grandfather build a house, I needed to cut some vapour barrier.
Without thinking I pull the razor out and start cutting. I then notice my grandfather looking at me (he looked stunned). To this day he has never mentioned it.

The other was over just by a show of willingness, oh and about a 4 inch folding blade. Now THAT's how to have a knife fight.

I was sitting in a cafe years ago (mid 1980's) when my then best friend introduced me to a friend of his.
The guy was a little pu$% with a buck 119 on his belt. After talking for a bit (good natured bs'ing) he pulls the knife out, points it at me and says "big guys like you don't impress me."
I sort of fake moving back in my seat, grab the razor from behind my hair. Next thing he knows the back of his head is against the wall and the razor is resting on his cheek.
I told him if he was going to pull that out he better know how to use it. I then put my razor away and told him next time I would shove that knife up his a$$.
