Indiana is a good state. We don't have any restrictions on knife carry, and can carry any sort of loaded long gun without a license. To carry a handgun (open or concealed) you need a license. I've had a handgun license for 18 years, and during my last renewal upgraded to "Lifetime". My wife's license is also Lifetime.

Yeah, there is a course. I think you can get it done in one day. There is a fee for the license and one for the course. I think it ends up costing about $250 all together. Then there is an annual renewal fee.

We have all kinds of knife restrictions. No blades over 5 1/2 inches. Do dirks, daggers, etc. Oh, and no Bowies. That's right, no Bowies in Texas.

A lot of states require a class. Our state constitution has a 2nd Amendment that is very similar to the Federal one. This, IMHO, means I don't need a license...however....I have one <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif" alt="" />

My assumption was the same. I'm from California and there are surprisingly few knife restrictions there. I don't know what's up with Texas knife laws.
