earlier in the DC I mentioned that the 5.7x28 round was not allowed to fired at certain gun ranges. I was wondering what this round could be doing that other rounds wasn't and if it was the standard factory ammo that was doing it. found this video that answered my question.

I was told before I even thought a about buing the fsn that it was a "nasty little round". crazy because the round in the video had a polymer tip and has been considered the "watered down" version of the round these firearms are created to use. theres even some hotter stuff on the market I've been wanting to try.

lazi, The Lead free rounds for the 5.7 are widely available and I have seen some actually stick in steel plates. Phoenix Rod & Gun Club asks that you not shoot them do to the deterioration of the steel plates. However they don't seem too mind it when its only a paper target.

Thanks! The flats are still pretty rough( they always are) but it shouldn't take long to get it to a nice satin finish, I'm gonna keep the saber grind on it, I might add a swedge ( I love swedges)
