We were in the upper 40's this morning, fairly chilly for here.

What kind of bike do you have? I'm looking at one

Price is right, and just for puttering around town I figure it would be ok

I've got a KLR650, decent on the road and on the dirt so it covers my needs. Going to try and pick up a used FZ6 for next year.

Looks like a nice bike, however I want some wind protection if I get another bike. Wind noise and buffeting gets annoying.

I've had several, but it's been years. Just got the hankering for another. I wanted a dualpurpose at one time, but the roads here are pretty good and I wouldn't do much off road with one. The FZ6 is interesting, but I don't care for the bikes with fairings. Had one, was too costly to fix after a minor drop.

Around town, it doesn't bother me. If I were riding much more than that, I'd put a windshield on it.

Yeah, going to put frame sliders on for the oops in the parking lot situation.

Other bike on my list right now is either a Concours 1400 or FJR1300.

I like racking miles up but don't like being constantly buffed around.

My other bike is a Suzuki GT500, so no fairings to worry about. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

Finding 2 stroke oil at the gas stations is the only issue. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

I rode a Suzuki GS450L from NC to Florida back when I was younger, no windshield or anything. I was worn out just from holding back against the wind. Never again, not on a bike that small anyway.

My biggest bike to date was a Honda Hurricane 1000, it was something else back in it's day. Not too radical a riding position, but it would still move pretty good.

I'm too old and too fat now to ride something like that, that's why I'm looking at the Shadow, or something similar. Still look like a circus bear on a tricycle, but at least I'll be riding
