The other one sure looks nicer, but What is your actual needs for one? Just to play around with (you already said you were a guitarist) or do you want to be able to jam with folks and look hot while doing it (the girls might think it's hot)!

it's mainly for home. i want drummers to be mentally invested so when they see this thing they may not be into it and play without feeling. the red one's no guarantee either but it's much more realistic and likely to please.

Yeah I agree with your thinking. The red one just SEEMS more like a real drum setup, even with the pedals for the bass.
