were they expensive sheets, the over 300+ count ones? (so I can gage your depth in the trouble pool)..

300+ thread count. That's funny, I did not even know what that meant when my wife mentioned thread count to me. I had no idea that sheets were so involved until I was schooled in thread count.

oooooh, nice!! I'm not sure what the ones that I cut were as far as thread count. We do have some 350 thread count Egyptian sheets and pillow cases - but I didn't cut those! I think I'll survive this one - my plan is to go with Bigocean's suggestion I think, and then I'll work Dan's angle at that point as well!

HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

this thread is hilarious!!!

my advice would have been not to stitch it yourself. sometimes a little hole is less ugly than bad stitch work. If they're new you may try returning them as defective but i don't personally condone this.

what is the deal with thread count anyway?

I don't know what thread count means... but the higher the threadcount, the softer they are, at least thats all that I could gather when buying them. My stitch job looks good from the top side - but you can definately tell that its been stitched. I learned to sew in the Army, cuz I was always busting the crotch out of my BDU pants and didn't want to pay anyone to fix them!

lol this is Dicemans; "Cut Thread" post! The more threads in your sheets, the more comfortable they are and stronger, when you have them (better sheets) you'll know! Course their more expensive but for a good nights sleep sometimes that's worth it. I can sleep on the floor (like diceman will) but I do like my sheets and a good nites rest.

there's another solution. get her into bed and when she notices in the morning "we must have done that last night."
