Todd, what do you think would be the more reliable in the long run, the 10/22 or the 77/22?

JJ, what do YOU think of my reliability question?

i did a gang of googling for a quiet .22 options and I decided to just snag some aguila colibri ammo. seems to do the trick and leave plenty of room to but plenty of ammo. Im thinking I'd rather have a 10/22 charger and bricks of colibri ammo over a surpressor.
now I did see one surpressor option that caught my eye. a surpressed .357 lever action. was using a 9mm can. I'm really interested in that setup.

Todd, what do you think would be the more reliable in the long run, the 10/22 or the 77/22? Reliable, probably the 77/22. But that would be a looooong run. I've got a 10/22 that's never faltered in 20+ years, and it's probably only been cleaned a couple times, much as I regret to say it. Talk to you tonight!

I agree with RTH. The bolt action of the 77 is probably going to last longer and be more reliable, however, I think that would be an issue for your grandchildren. Neither would fail in my lifetime if properly maintained.

the ammo fires using only the primer and not any un powder. make it very quiet to shoot. in some cases less than a air rifle. watched a few videos and I'm pretty impressed. If I had known about this ammo I would have a few more .22 lr firearms on deck.

Thanks MOK, I did the google thing. Nice concept for pest control, but for POSSIBLE use against 2 legged vermin, I don't know how effective it would be.

I just read about that and also the SSS Sniper subsonic! Hum.... Sounds I may have to do some trading for a good bolt 22.
