Oh and by sinful I mean against The teaching of God and Jesus. I think that many times the "learned" folks read to much into it. Just my personal unlearned take on things.
One thing I do know is that it says that if we do something that causes our brother to stumble it is a sin. My read on that is that if we do something that someone else believes is wrong it's a sin. See where the confusion starts really taking hold.

You see – moments ago, I was checking Google Analytics, to see how my new websites are doing. I just saw that my ex-fiancée visited my website, yesterday – and I thought several expletives. (I didn't say them out loud, because I have laryngitis.)

I personally think that it is the intent of your heart. As you say, just the fact that we're breathing will make someone mad. And I think that I got it wrong. MAYBE is't that if something you do causes someone else to sin it's wrong. It's confusing so I just try and do what I think is right and correct for me. I can't worry about the whole world.
