Got all our deputies coming in to trade out for 4x4's, we only have 3 of them so it'll look like a clown car at the circus when they pull up on a call.

Think it's going to be (hopefully) slow night. The Sheriff told the Deputies to take calls from home or the office. To NOT patrol around, to slick. I'll probably be fairly safe until folks start getting up and about in the morning.

We started going to Tahoe's last year. We've got 4 of them, still have 4 cars that will get traded out over the next 2 years and 2 4x4 pickups. We don't really need cars around here, we don't run traffic (Highway patrol does that). Our main job is cruising the back roads and dirt roads, TRYING to keep the bad guys at bay.

We have a couple Durangos and a couple Expeditions. They're SpecOps vehicles and detective vehicles, which is why we don't have many of them. Our main vehicle is the Crown Vic, but we're changing over to the Chargers.

We had a local fire department respond to a structure fire earlier this evening and on the way back the slid sideways in the road and got stuck! (yup it's out in the county, dirt roads)! Had to call for a LARGE, as in an 18 wheeler size wrecker to get them out. Still waiting on the wrecker to get there.

Sounds like around here! Our day shift sarge got stuck last weekend in the snow and had to call a wrecker to pull him out. He was in a 4x4 too.
