How are you guys fairing with the weather? I just saw where we are going to wrestle tomorrow and Sat has a 40-50% chance of snow and ice. I just thought I was not going to get caught up in it.

No matter how many times I shovel the evil snow, the job is never done. I live in a building with three row houses (German versions of town houses) and one family is two old Germans (The man was actually in the German Luftschutz , anti aircraft unit) and the other is a single mom with three young girls. So, I shovel all the sidewalks and porches. I push it all into one big pile behind the building. That pile is now about 10 feet tall by 10 feet wide. The neighbor's kids have been building a fort out of it so I dump the newer snow to the side of it to give them a stash of building material and avoid destroying their fort.

JJ that is cool. I bet that fort is pretty neat.

I'll shoot some pictures of it when it is complete. The kids have some crayon renderings and floor plans of the completed project (their mom is an architect. Only Germans would make blueprints at 5-9 years old.

I am just dumb labor in the project and they remind me when I tried to give some suggestions on the build.

trying to recommend a folder for my sis to get her boyfriend. haven't really looked in a while and he probably should be looking at styles I never really looked into that much. he's a teacher on college campus so I recommended he go for more of a gentlemans knife if he should find thahhis is using it on campus. he felt he could just leave it at home but I would think just rocking something less aggressive looking would be the key. some squirrlie people around nowadays though...

JJ, just think of as Community relations. You are showing them a side that is NOT the Ugly American! I mean a Bar-b-Q and beer, how much better can it get than that! Even though I no longer drink, I AM NOT against drinking. Personally I don't see anything wrong with it, and you should see the looks I got at chruch for saying that, and Patty feels the same way. I guess we''re just a couple Hethens!

You and Patti aren't alone! I've been give the same stinkeye for saying the same thing. Usually with a beer in my hand.

People obviously don't know the health benefits of alcohol (in moderation).. A glass of red wine or a beer a day keeps the doctor away.

I don't know about healthy, but it doesn't matter. I don't drink a lot, maybe a couple beers a week, unless I'm at some social gathering. Even then, I don't get drunk, but I'll drink several over an evening.

I even had a few beers one time with our preacher (at the time) who shared this view. As a Southern Baptist, that didn't fly too well with the congregation LOL. He didn't last long there.
