According to the local papers website, it's 23 degrees with wind chill of about 19 here tonight. No melting of the slick stuff tonight! Not supposed to be over freezing till Saturday or so.

We're supposed to bottom out at around 0 on Friday morning before we start back up. My daughter lives up in the mountains in Boone, they're at 1 deg with wind chill right now. I don't envy her.

Ours started Monday morning about 0300 and didn't let up till Tuesday morning. Mostly rain and sleet after Monday about 1400. Still ended up with about 5 inches.

I wouldn't mind seeing one good snow, maybe 4-6 inches, no ice and gone in about 3 days.

Our road is a solid sheet of ice, my 4wd goes up and down it ok but my wife's Explorer won't even get started up the hill.
