Yep', almost noon here -- CST. How's things in your neck of the woods Doc?

hot and sunny.. my area escaped what was left of that devastating storm that went through the southern central part of the country. Poor folks, i really feel for them... If I read right most of the dogs and families fared okay.. wet perhaps, but nothing drastic..hope that is correct

I was really relieved when we found that my son had called and left a message on our machine. He lives just N/W of Huntsville Alabama, and turns out their house was the only one on the block that did NOT have any roof damage. He said that power will be out between three days and three weeks! Fortunately, they were able to load up and go visit my daughter near Tampa. A little TOO close for comfort! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif" alt="" />

Very close... Glad their home is not without roof. I just replaced mine. Not cheap. I live near Tampa... In fact was born and raised there. My little burg is just East of the City, and I work for the City of Tampa. Whereabout is she?

Know it well. It has grown way too much for me as well. My best friend lives there. Its a big area, and traffic blows. My burg is much the same... I have a little lake front property west of there that my family has had since '62.. Its where I learned to swim and water ski... a little too old and fat for the water skiing now.. and the lake is just overloaded with people..

I have a couple minutes before I head out.

this is just a delay tactic for me... my son and I have to start on the garage...

good for you doing the scout thing Doc, and I also congratulate your son AND you as well. I made Life scout, then other things took over and we also lost a lot of our male leaders. Oh well I survived and I guess that's the main thing. I also learned A LOT in the time I was in the scouts and I especially enjoyed the one trip I was able to make it to Philmont. I could live out there forever.

Woops, gotta fix us something to eat. Just got finished mowing before it rains again.
