I can't say for certain, but the impression that I got was that people were placing multiple votes.

I'm not sure, but something might have been screwed up, in that regard.

Speaking from my own experience, I would come back to that thread occasionally, to ckeck on the tally. After my initial vote, coming to the thread would show the results, instead of the ballot. Then, a few days ago, (after the vote had been going on for a while, and seemed to be winding down) I came to look at the tally, and, instead of seeing the results so far, it asked for me to vote in order to see the results.

I thought, "Whaaaat? Had my vote had been deleted, since I had said (In a post) that I had originally mis-voted? Had all the voting accidentally been reset for everyone? Wasn't it pretty much all decided, now, anyway? I just want to see the results."

Anyway, I thought I better try again, and so I did. (And, reading through the thread immediately afterward, I saw that the results were through, and the decision had already been made, in any case.) Anyway, I wasn't trying to place multiple votes, but I can see how perhaps some bug in the program confused people into doing so. Something was weird there, at the end...

Either way, I don't think anyone really needs to get upset. Both camps - the Bowies and the Mudders, will be getting their knives in time. I want BOTH !!!

I had the same thing happen. Dunno, maybe there is a bug in the software.

Either way, as tough as it was to choose between the two knives, I'm just happy that we'll be getting both! Not at the same time, but we'll get em nonetheless.

Evolute, personally anything I said was in jest and please accept a sincere welcome to the pound! This forum does 'rib' a lot but all are welcome and it is great fun to be here... The whole Busse family make great cutlery bought by good people. Hogs and rats belong here, afterall this is a start-up so can use the support of all hard-core knife junkies. I think Dan decided to do the bowie first before the INFI as a result of posting showing a descrepancy over polling... However like PK said we will get both knives in time, a great result for us all! INFI and res-C will be a match made in heaven...

Paul - I think I can hear a choir of Angels singing about the Infi/Res-C , the match made in Heaven ! Thanks, Paul. Like I said, the only thing that had made me feel unwelcome was that it seemed that Dan had discounted the vote of Hogs simply because they were Hogs. Now it appears that I was mistaken, that he was actually discounting purposeful cheating by means of voting multiple times. If that is correct, then I have no issue regarding feeling unwelcome. In all other cases, I took comments against Hogs in The Scrapyard as being in jest.

Cheers,

Mike

Thanks, Patti, and congratulations on your new business.

Cheers,

Mike

P.S. Patti, could you please send me your contact info? There's something minor I need to discuss.
