As the INFI shorty did generate lots of vote (hmmm) but also a few posts, it would be nice if Dan does do it after the bowie. As you said PK, I'd have one too... INFI at dog price??? Too good to miss! (Lets hope sometime we get an INFI Scrapper 7!)

Yep my dream knife, 1/ INFI (nice...) 2/ Scrapper 7, the perfect knife size and Scrapper design (having now got one) is near perfect. For 'a hack' who isn't interested in form just function, Dan makes very handsome, well proportioned knives!

The Scrapper is a modern classic of form and function, the bowie will rock the world... I can't wait for pictures and a release date!

Perhaps you're kidding, and I'm missing the humor when reading just a text message. But if you are serious... I have a hard time comprehending this perspective. I'm an inducted "Hog of the Round Trough". Now I'm coming into The Scrapyard, and giving its products a try, too. I'd like to imagine that I'd be welcome in both camps, and don't need to choose sides. Why should my Hoggishness have any bearing on how my vote is counted? Why should my Hoggishness make me a second-class customer, here? Any Hog who came over here to vote obviously did so because they want what you may sell, and because they are open to becoming Dogs as well as Hogs. Why pull the welcome mat out from under the feet of the Hogs who come to join here, too? Mike

Mike - I think you're being a little over-sensitive here. I believe most everything that has been said - Dogs vs. Hogs & Rats, etc. has been done so with a sense of humor involved. I was very happy to welcome you here and recognize the fine quality of your photographs , which I have seen you post at the Swamp for a long time. Even the ribbing among each other is all in good fun. I have met a lot of interesting people on this forum, and have been glad to see others "cross-over" from the Swamp or wherever. Hang in there with us ! Tom

Thanks, Tom,
I don't think it is merely oversensitivity on my part. I recognize that there has been a lot of good natured ribbing between various camps, which I took with humor. I wouldn't have considered it to be anything other than jest until the specific case regarding the vote. Unless I misunderstand, the Mudder Handled INFI blade beat the Big 10 Inch Bowie Chopper by a wide margin... and then the ballot results were summarily rejected by Dan on the grounds that Mudder Handled INFI blade had only won due to Hogs coming over and voting for it... an indication that Dan is not merely joking about the notion that the Hogs' votes are less welcome and/or count for less.
Mike

Hi Mike,
The outcome of the poll was not changed simply because the votes were made by Hogs. It was changed because of the shenanegans. BTW, you did read Dan's post where he said he was making the INFI blade after the bowie, right?
Stick around, Mike. You are more than welcome here. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />
