Ask the average service member when his branch's birthday is. If you he knows it, he or she is probably a Marine. We know more about our history than any other branch on earth. I know I sound like I am tooting my horn, which I am, but this is true. And, a lot of it was learned in boot camp. We ran everywhere we went, and while running all we did was repeat Marine Corps history that was being blasted by our drill instructors. We get tested on it yearly too.
