Sooooo It's thinner than the originals (or at least the TT versions)? I THINK the 40ouncer is the same diameter as other bottles (2.75inches) and should fit in something like the Maxped 10x4 carrier.

It's from a test team blank, I thought they were about that, it's ground a little differently that the test team versions, the primary grind isn't as fat which makes it a more efficient chopper

The 64 oz just fits into the side pouch of my monsoon, but it won't fit anywhere else, ( cup holders, side pockets of my other bag)

I'd probably go with the 40, are you going with the double walled ( insulated) or the standard

I went with the standard, just in case I ever have to boil water in it

Probably just the single wall. I had thought about the insulated ones but I've already got 3 SS thermos bottles, Stanley, aladdin.

And while we are on the thickness thing, do you know the specs on the Bull Nose.

If the specs are thinner on the bull nose I might see about dumping my 6.5 for one of them, but I have a feeling it is probably the same thickness (.333 I believe, same as the Reg).

It holds it temp pretty well anyways, I usually fill it with ice cubes, then water, usually stays cold for 4 or 5 hours
