GREAT! Just got a TTY from the NWS saying that early next week (Monday and Tuesday) will have heat indexes of 105 to possibly over 110 degrees! Advising extreme caution for anyone that needs to be outside those two days. The temps should be in the mid 90's and the humidity takes care of the rest.

Yowzers!

Yeah, running yesterday at noon was not the smartest thing I've done lately. Gotta mow the yard tomorrow, although it's mostly dead due to the most severe drought since the '50s.

Yeah I was going to mow later on today, but probably won't get a chance to. Our Vacation Bible School director had three folks quit on her today, it VBS is tomorrow! So It looks like Patty and I are going to have a larger roll in it than we originally did. SO that means I will be out in the heat Monday, BUT I WILL have a water bottle with me the whole time and I will be wearing a hat.

Just got another Twix and NOW they are saying to expect strong thunderstorms (just heavy thunder/lightening and rain) starting Tuesday evening through the rest of the week.

Good on you both! The kids will appreciate you for it

Did you ever check out the "real deal brazil" hats? Super cool! Wife and I both got them...I love them for pig hunting in the woods in the summer, they aren't cool, but once I've sweated them in, they take care of you

I have been looking at Tilley hats and Patty has been encouraging me to get the one with the vented mesh around the crown, but Man, paying $76.00 for a hat just chaffs my butt!

Those are definitely a bit "nicer" than the real deal brazil (RDB) hats. The RDB is meant to be abused...and it can take it!

Actually...looking at their website, I'm kindof liking the new laptop bags.

Tilley's are durable. They've got a story about an Elephant trainer/keeper that has "Lost" his hat several times to this one certain elephant. He just reclaims it a few days later, washes it and it's good to go until the next time!

YUP, I don't think that I would have the intestinal fortitude to do that. I am afraid the hat would just have to find it's self remaining with the um ah... Yeah.

Got me a new Ingram this week...stoked! It's a short custom semi design....really excited to clean out some deer with this one! I took some comparison shots with the Scrapivore for sizing, will upload them.

It's small, and super comfortable. Not a survival knife...but it's a slicer.

Jigged G-10, in Orange! Lovin it
