Do you shoot with the bayonet open or closed? The Soviets sighted the m44 with the bayonet extended in the open position. Might be something to look at.

YUP, I can walk into any BX/PX or Commissary anywhere on any military base.

I've only been back to a military base two times since Dec of 1993.

I've tried both, couldn't tell much of a difference. I thought I was doing pretty good to hit a propane tank at about 75 yrds...

From the borderlands of England, family rode with the Reivers of Scotland (Little's go back to William Wallace days), was sent to Ireland during the English conquest and Xot-Irish settlement, and eventually came to America. My mother side is mostly from England--Lee, Cox, Tinsley. Yep, that Lee who Light Horse Harry and his more famous son came from.
Guess the English part likes Ales and the Irish part likes whiskey, and the Scottish part is the most independent part.

I didn't take all that many pains with my AR, just sighted it to hit a 3x5 index card at 50 yards and called it good enough.
