So guys I was curious. Can you guys suggest a good Lithium powered flashlight on the smaller scale? Say 6 inch length max? Been looking at some Surefire stuff.

I have a Fenix TK10 that I'm pretty fond of. Check out the Fenix line. Great bang for the buck. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

Sorry to hear about your water problems Matty. Glad to hear the kids and everyone is going fine. Hopefully that will continue.

Patty is actually doing some better since you were on last. They have changed her meds and changed around when she takes them and it has helped with some of the problems. But she still shakes quite a bit from time to time, but not as bad as she was. Plus she isn't getting sick everyday the way she was. She will get somewhat nauseous but nothing like it was.

What, how are you going to use the flashlight Steeley? I Have a little 3a maratech(made by ITI) that has 3 brightness levels and provides me all the light I need for almost any situation. It is always in my pocket and there is hardly a day goes by that I don't use it for something.

Well I am thinking more for a BOB/EDC.

Steeley, Lithium power is nice, some REALLY nice lights, but the batteries aren't cheap. Depending on what, the way you are going to use your flashlight you might be better served with a 2a or 3a light. UNLESS you really need the blinding beams that the lithium lights put out. I used to think that is what I needed, but found out it wasn't.

Thanks for the link Randy. I am going to get some rest I am whooped. We had a big storm with 70mph winds come through and it wiped out half a tree and some other limbs at my grandmas lots of chainsawing.

What kind of flashlight do you like Randy or do you EDC?

OK, for a BOB the lithium is a good choice. It will hold it's charge for a LONG time without leaking. You can just put it in the bag and forget for 5 or 6 years. I know they claim 10 years, but replacing the battery in half the time should make more than sure it WILL WORK when you need it most.

Get you a second light for EDC. Something small like a 2a or 3a from fenix or maratech/ITI. The light on my BOB lite is an ITI rig with high, low and medium with strobe. 2a size and I like it. Batteries can be found almost everywhere and it puts out quite a bit of light.

BUT for personal EVERY DAY ALL THE TIME carry I like my little single cell 3a. Its as small as a pair of nail clippers and you never realize you are carrying it until you need it.
