Morning dogs. I got my first piece of INFI last night a SS4. However sharpening it is proving tricky. The initial edge wasn't to bad so I sat down with my sharpmaker. I got the edge pretty bity with the 600 grit stones. After that I went to the 1000 grit stones to get the edge real sharp. However it got duller and way less bitey feeling after using the 1000 grit stones??? I can slice cut paper and push cut it with the back of the blade edge however I think the belly is to obtuse still. But it getting duller feeling on higher grit stones mistifies me. I had some trouble getting a wire edge could that have been the reason I was getting a bite feel on the rougher stones and I just need to work the edge down more? Sorry for the book. Haha.

Steeley, I took my WarDog from a semi-cutting paper convex to a hair popping V Grind in nothing flat. Man that INFI sharpens easily. Possibly the angle is just to blunt and you need to thin it down some. Just an Idea.

Thats what I was thinking. I didn't think INFI would need some special stones or anything to get it sharp. I think I will get my 320 grit Ruby stones out and where the edge down some its pretty obtuse like Sykco knives can come. How are you today Randy?

Geesh! We got quite abit of rain yesterday so its kinda cool. Just heard on the radio with the heat index its supposed to feel like 96 which with all the rain makes it feel super muggy. Well I gotta head to my bay so I will catch you later!
