It's a neat tradition. I was gifted a knife or two but that was when I was younger and not really a collector.

The good word.... Nutter butter blizzards at DQ are the sh!$ Dangit ( gets in car and speeds off to DQ ) in this movie I am watching they had some interesting knife folklore. If a knife is gifted to you you give a coin to the giver as to not sever the relation ship, the coin maintains the relationship. I was aware of that practice as well, unfortunately no one has ever given me a knife. I was lucky my dad was/is a little bit of a knife guy He doesn't collect them, but he sure uses the ones he has

Evening Steely. Evening MB. I'm just hanging around to hear or should I say read the good word, I'm laid up recovering from a hip replacement so nothing but time on my hands at the moment. I hope you have a speedy recovery cazio. Thanks for the well wishes, I had one hip done this past February but this seems to be a bit more painful but I'm moving pretty well after one week.
