I like the XD too. Although the five inch I have is a little much wish I had picked a four. Great price too shotability value. But with pistols I always say you should shoot what feels the best. Thats why I don't have a colt,ruger,keltek,llama, or any others beside. its cause nothing feels better in my hand than a sig although the XD is right behind it.

I wish I had waited for an XDM the adjustable backstrap is nice for big hands like mine.

I went with the XD because its based off the 1911 and that's the gun I learned to shoot with. Mine is the 4in with porting and in 357 sig. Did some USPSA competition matches for a while but it started getting as bad as knives just way more expensive. I started a project with a double stack SA 1911 that I wanted to make a race gun but the $5k price tag was a bit much and haulted the project <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

Don't get me wrong I like shooitng 1911s and I like shooting double stack 1911s better.

my Xd is in 45 ACP. I think the 357 sig is an awesome round. but i prefer 40 for nearly everything i wish i had bought an xd in 40.
