If the midnight shift is good for having an attitude problem I should get on the same shift. I have a way too big of a mouth sometimes, I talk back before realizing if the person I'm talking back at is my boss or not.

And YUP, it is a Bennie of working the night shift. They know I am on here at night but as long as it does not interfere with my work they have told me they don't mind.

I find the older I get the less I care about stepping on someone's feelings if they are (unjustifiably) getting in my space and trying to steamroll over me.

This goes equally for idiots playing loud music on the bus and superiors at work making a dumb decision that I'll suffer under without a need or reason to.

Nearly got in a fight this one time on the bus because this idiot wouldn't shut his cell phone off that he was using as a boombox to play music on.

I have been known to tell folks to shut up and go to bed so they can sober up. I have also been known to tell them that I don't care about their problem, that the problem hey have is NOT a law enforcement matter.

She is sort of justified in her worry, this kind of crap happens in this city all the time. Though I doubt anyone will shoot me on a bus infront of tons of witnesses.

We have this phenomenon now they call "flash mobs" where a bunch of young people will swarm a completely random victim in the street, beat him senseless and scatter.

I just can't take it when idiots constantly invade my space and I can't keep my mouth shut.

If my mouth makes me a bigger target for violent crime, so be it, I will not back down from my principles out of fear of physical retaliation.
